CLUSTER ENTRIES: Don’t forget that entries for our upcoming cluster close on Wednesday October 20, 2010. We are hoping for a great entry in conformation as well as obedience and rally, so don’t delay get your entries in today!
B-OB MATCH: We had a wonderful turnout for sanctioned B-OB match last week at Chilhowee Park. Bernadine Luketich did a great job as the chairman and everything came off without hitch. Thanks to Bernadine for all of her hard work as well as Steve Merritt for his help in the set up and tear down. Many of our members were there to work in support of the club and we appreciate all of their efforts. The judges and stewards were great and a fun evening was had by all.
OCTOBER 19TH MEETING: The October 19th meeting will feature Dr.Franya Peterson, DC. Dr. Peterson is an AVCA certified animal chiropractor and will be sharing with us plenty of information on the state of Canine Chiropractic Medicine.
ALIVE-AT-FIVE-AT-FOUR PROMO: For those of you that visit our website on a regular basis you should have seen by now the clip from "Alive-at-Five-at-Four" that was arranged for by Beth White. It was a great promotional piece for the club and if you have not seen it go to our site and view it. Thanks to Beth and all of the members that helped out by bringing out dogs and equipment for the event.
CONFORMATIN CLASSES: Don’t forget that we have conformation classes scheduled for the next three Wednesdays in October out at Chilhowee Park in the Midway area. This is the area on the South side of Magnolia Ave. The classes are outdoors and the cost is $5.00. In the event of rain the classes would be cancelled for that evening.
AKC NEWS: A great deal has been going on at the AKC, and if you go to the AKC web site and locate the September Delegates' Minutes you will find many pages of things happening in the world of dogs and AKC.
CLUSTER: The cluster is just about here and your committee has been hard at work to make it a success. I hope as many people as possible will participate in the numerous special events we have scheduled during the cluster.
I am excited about the program for the October meeting as well as getting the cluster off to a great start. Let me shout a big “Thank You” to everyone that has supported our efforts to bring about the cluster as well as those that assist me in my ongoing efforts to bring quality programs and community commitment to the TVKC.
I look forward to seeing everyone on the 19th.
