If you haven't sent in your payment to Jean Dinkins you must pay as you arrive.  Meal Options (choose one of three):
  • Filet Mignon of Beef, salad, side, drink for $25
  • Grilled Shrimp over Rice, salad, side, drink for $22
  • Grilled Lemon Chicken, Rice, salad, side, drink for $18
The club will provide Hors d'Oeuvres, tax, and gratuity.  A cash bar will be available.


The party will be in a private dining room downstairs.  (From main entrance: go left, then downstairs to lower level.)

NOTE:  There will not be another club meeting during December.

TVKC Agility Trial

November 29 - December 2, 2012
The trial was a huge success with over 500 dogs competing.  The entry breakdown was:
   538 Jumpers with Weaves Runs
   530 Standard Runs
   165 Time to Beat Runs
   139 FAST Runs

Highlights of the weekend:

  • 5 MACH Titles were awarded.  Several MACH parties.  (You should have seen Beth's poodle cookies.)

  • Challenging, fast, and fun courses were presented from judges Rick and Diane Fyfe

  • 10 vendors were on site with a multitude of items sold.

  • Several amazing dogs made agility debuts - including Graham Cracker and Ellie.

  • Beth runs something other than a poodle!

  • Trial chair, Dawn Barrett, does it again!  Thanks for all your organization and hard work.

  • Our new times worked wonderfully - thank you Ace Russell!

  • Special thanks to club members Pam and Barry Stanner for spending the day with us. We so needed and appreciated your help! I will never, ever forget Barry's take on the leash running job. He dubbed himself the "Bucket Bitch!" (Maybe you had to be there?)  Barry got a new grand baby Saturday. Born in England - 10 lbs 14 oz! Mom and baby doing well! Congrats!

  • A big THANK YOU to Jeanne Ringe for a full day's work with ring crew and course building Friday and Jeanne and Axel for coming out Sunday working the ring and loading up.

  • And a SUPER DUPER BIGGER THAN LIFE  T H A N K   Y O U  to Julie Haase who worked countless hours Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

2012 NATIONAL OWNER-HANDLER SERIES TOP DOG RANKINGS NOW AVAILABLE ON AKC WEBSITE


New York, NY – The American Kennel Club® (AKC®) has released the 2012 top dog rankings for the inaugural year of the AKC National Owner-Handler Series (NOHS). Owner-handlers can search for their dog’s ranking on the AKC website at http://classic.akc.org/ohs/top_dogs/. Rankings are compiled based on the AKC National Owner-Handler Series Point Schedule (http://classic.akc.org/ohs/point_scale.cfm) for Best of Breed, Group and Best in Show placements.

AKC/Eukanuba National Championship Broadcast on ABC Television Network - Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013

NEW YORK, NY (November 30, 2012) –Thousands of dogs will compete over five days in a variety of world-class dog sporting competitions on December 12-16, 2012 in Orlando, Florida at the Orange County Convention Center.  This spectacular dog celebration tops all other dog events in the nation with over 15,500 combined entries.

Dogs will compete under one roof in the AKC/Eukanuba National Championship, Eukanuba World Challenge, the AKC Agility Invitational, the AKC National Juniors Agility Competition, the AKC National Obedience Invitational, the AKC National Juniors Obedience Competition, the AKC Junior Showmanship Finals, and the Orlando Cluster of the Space Coast Kennel Club of Palm Bay, the Brevard Kennel Club and the Central Florida Kennel Club dog shows. KELLY LYNN WILHITE - FORMER TVKC Member

 

 

 

WILHITE, KELLY LYNN - age 52, of Knoxville, formerly of Fremont, Wisconsin, passed away on Friday, November 9, 2012, with her final destination being Heaven. Born and raised in Fremont, Wisconsin. Graduated fro Weyauwega HS in 1978. She married Mark Neuschafer in 1979 and was widowed in 1981. Moved multiple times settling in Knoxville. Married Bruce Wilhite in 1998 and together developed the successful violin shop Wilhite Strings. Actively enjoyed breeding, raising, and showing Golden Retriever show dogs.
