AKC BOARD ELECTION:  Please review the AKC Board nominees.  We will discuss these nominees at our February  meeting.  We will vote on these nominees to select three to give our AKC Delegate, Catherine Bell, our choice for their March vote. MORE AGILITY FUN! 
TVKC will be hosting a “B” Match on Saturday, 2/4/2011 at approximately 3:00 p.m. in the Indoor Arena at Roane State Community College in Harriman, TN.  The match is limited to 60 runs to be filled in order of registration.Anyone can enter!

  • Sign up to register from 9:00 AM to 2:00 pm on day of match. 

  • Entry fee is $10 for first run, $5 for second (same dog). 

  • Bill Doan will judge with the course designed by Dan Faulkner.

Schedule Note:  The Match will start 30 minutes after the last class of the TVKC Agility Trial completes running.  This means that it could start earlier or later than 3:00 p.m.

AKC OVERALL ENTRIES INCREASE IN 2010
 -- Records More Than 3 Million Entries -- The growth over the number of entries received in 2009 was sparked by the ever-growing interest in the sport of Agility, where entries increased by 9%. The new "Grand Champion" title assisted shows by providing an increase of over 40,000 additional entries in Best of Breed. This equates to more than $1.2 million in additional entry fees to Conformation clubs.  Details

Daisy Peel and 'Solar' to Compete in International Agility Competition at Crufts
The AKC is excited to announce that 2010 National Agility Champions Daisy Peel and Border Collie NAC MACH Super Sun OF "Solar" will be representing the AKC and United States at the upcoming Crufts International Agility competition. This highly prestigious event only allows one dog and handler team from each country to participate. Crufts, which will take place on March 10-13, 2011 in Birmingham, England at the National Exhibition Centre, is considered the birthplace of dog agility, and is the largest dog show in the world.  Read More
